Sirisena takes his Son to the UN! Sshhh don’t call it nepotism!

Desperate attempt to turn around Sirisena’s unkempt dishevelled appearance as “simplicity” and trying to use MR name to compare his non-statesman-ly ‎appearence as “good”. What the media forgets is that family nepotism is at its heights with Sirisena trailing his Son. The question remains – WHO is paying for his son’s flights and hotels?

Does Modi take his son along? Does obama take his daughter along? Sirisena’s son standing in for his wife??? Then the better example of simplicity is Putin who walks in on his own. But there he dows not need a Michele or a son or daughter to curry favour – the man is good enough without “appendages”!

Indian PM Narendra Modi Meets Daham Sirisena At UN

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has met Daham Sirisena at the UN Headquarters in New York last night.

President Maithripala Sirisena participated in the 70th Session of the United Nations General Assembly at the UN Headquarters in New York today, accompanied by his son Daham Sirisena who has no official status whatsoever in the Sri Lankan delegation.

When President Sirisena left for New York and when he arrived in New York the Presidential Media portrayed him as a simple man in contrast to his predecessor Mahinda Rajapaksa whose foreign visits were made with a large entourage with the tax payer having to foot enormous bills. These sentiments were echoed by almost all sections of the local media in Sri Lanka. Indeed pictures of him arriving in New York in a disheveled state was hailed as an example of his simplicity.

Sirisena rode to power pledging to eliminate the nepotism and favoritism that marked Rajapaksa reign.
